NRL 2021: Braden Hamlin-Uele, Cronulla Sharks, Try Celebration, The Rock, WWE
After securing his spot on the best moments for years to come with his WWE antics on Sunday, Braden Hamlin-Uele hopes the tryout celebrations become a regular occurrence in the NRL.
The Sharks accessory print on The Rock People’s Elbow signature wrestling movement led Sportsbet to donate $ 10,000 to League men Call of Mose Masoe as part of its Try July promotion.
And Hamlin-Uele, who pretended to punch teammate Jack Williams after barging in on Warriors full-back Reece Walsh to score on Sunday, wants the celebrations to continue for more than a month.
“One hundred percent – I mean the NFL is doing it, we can’t do it? It brings some fun to the fans,” said the first rower after Cronulla’s 20-12 win at the Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
“It’s not done out of meanness or anything like that. It’s just enjoying the wins and enjoying the little things on the pitch. You can’t find them too often in the game, so I think I take advantage of them while you can.”
The players embraced Try July and hosted several memorable tryout celebrations, including Reuben Garrick playing Steeden as a six-biter, Tom Burgess trying to surf and Cody Ramsey throwing an imaginary fishing rod.
But Hamlin-Uele’s decision has taken the cake so far. Sportsbet doubled its usual donation of $ 5,000 because of its quality.
It seemed well orchestrated, but Hamlin-Uele and Williams insisted they hadn’t worked on the celebration in training.

“Apparently everyone was like, ‘Woah, did he really hit him? “Hamlin-Uele said, adding Williams,” We had to play. I wasn’t supposed to hit the bridge that hard. well. “
Hamlin-Uele joked that the pair could follow in the footsteps of former Raiders, Dragons and Broncos winger Daniel Vidot, who is now signed to WWE as ring name Xyon Quinn.
Sunday’s four point was the first of the year for Hamlin-Uele and he teased “There’s something else in store though [Williams] partitions “.
“He’s going to come off the crossbar – ‘moonsault’,” he joked.
Wrestling captured Hamlin-Uele’s imagination in his youth and he was always a huge fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
“That’s why if you’ve heard it last year, my test theme song was the Rock theme song,” Hamlin-Uele said.

“He wouldn’t be my favorite [wrestler] but he’s definitely up there. You also have to watch the Undertaker, Goldberg, Rey Mysterio when he first arrived.
“I’m not [WWE] too much now. I think that’s a little too unrealistic for me. I liked it when there was a little blood and everyone was on everyone’s wrong side and no one was really safe. “

Hamlin-Uele said it was fantastic to have fun while helping out former Roosters and Panthers forward Masoe, who suffered a serious spinal injury while playing for Hull KR in early 2020.
“It’s huge. I understand it’s a little hard to celebrate when you come from behind and run after the points, but if you can celebrate a try it goes to a massive cause,” Hamlin said- Uele.
“He’s doing it hard, so it’s the least we can do.”
