Boy group Stray Kids released a new Japanese song “MANIAC –Japanese ver.-” on Wednesday and it’s already topped the charts.
The boy group pre-released the song, which will be included in their second Japanese EP “Circus,” ahead of the EP’s release on June 22.
The song topped Line Music’s Realtime Top 100 Songs and iTunes charts in 12 countries, including Thailand and Vietnam.
“Circus” will consist of six tracks including the title track “Circus”, two new songs “Fairytale” and “Your Eyes” and “Maniac”, the title track from his latest EP “Ordinary”.
Members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, who also make up the production unit of boy band 3Racha, participated in writing the music and lyrics for “Circus.”
The boy band kicked off their second world tour “Stray Kids 2nd World Tour ‘Maniac'” on April 29 in Seoul. The boy group will hold a series of concerts in Japan from June 11, followed by the United States from July 1, and back in Japan on July 26 and 27.
Stray Kids debuted in 2018 and consists of members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and IN. The group is known for hits such as “My Pace” (2018), “Miroh” (2019), “God’s Menu” (2020) and “Back Door” (2020). His latest EP “Oddinary” (2022) released in March has sold over a million copies.
